Frequently asked questions
What is a traffic challan?
A challan is an official penalty notice issued by traffic police for breaking a traffic rule — speeding, jumping a signal, wrong parking, and so on. It must be paid to avoid escalation.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Every payment is processed by Razorpay with 256-bit SSL encryption. We never store your card details, and you receive an official receipt immediately after payment.
How long does clearance take?
Digital challans clear within 24–48 hours. Court challans (physical) can take 3–5 working days, since they need manual processing at the court.
What happens if I don't pay?
Unpaid challans can block your RC renewal, no-objection certificate and vehicle insurance. Traffic police may also seize the vehicle or escalate the fine.
What vehicle number format should I use?
Enter your full registration number without spaces — e.g. DL01AB1234 or MH12CD5678. It's printed on your RC book and number plate.
